Michael is a Partner in the firm’s Corporate and Real Estate practice groups. His business practice includes advising investors and business owners in all relevant areas including but not limited to mergers, acquisitions, sales and transfers of businesses of all types with an emphasis on closely and family held businesses. He has worked with all types of entrepreneurs from car dealerships to restaurant owners. His real estate experience includes 1031 tax free exchanges, development, and financing of projects from multi-family residential to shopping centers. He has worked with many financial organizations helping clients navigate loans from construction to permanent financing and refinancing.

Michael’s clients range from international corporations and national developers to local business owners, entrepreneurs and real estate investors.

Michael joined Posternak following more than 30 years with Rubin, Weisman, Colasanti, Kajko & Stein, LLP, where he was one of the founding members.

David G. Gaw is a Boston based commercial real estate executive . Mr. Gaw’s experience includes his role as the Chief Financial Officer for Heritage Property Investment Trust of Boston Ma. Mr. Gaw was responsible for directing Heritage’s initial public offering and served as the Trust’s primary interface to the investment community. He developed and implemented short and long term financial strategies for the company, oversaw capital markets, financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, tax, information systems and internal audit. Mr. Gaw also served as CFO for Boston Properties between 1982 and 2000. While at Boston Properties, Mr. Gaw oversaw the company’s initial public offering, the largest real estate IPO that had been completed at that time. Mr. Gaw currently serves as an independent director of the Plymouth Opportunity Reit of Boston Ma. Mr. Gaw holds an M.B.A. and a B.S. from Suffolk University.
